last stop underground, Dave Ahl's debut album, was recorded in one 12-hour session on 5/19/01. The album, which features Ahl's compositions, draws on funk, latin, and blues influences. last stop: underground is marked by high levels of sponteneity, as most of the musicians who recorded the album hadn't played together before the session.   In short, the recording truly captures the raw beauty of the moment.  

Dave Ahl composed, produced, and arranged all the original songs for the album, as well assembling and leading the band.
