Dave Ahl is a musician, composer, and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Ahl owns and operates Stepwise Sound, a full-service production facility dedicated to independent artists from around the world. Ahl is also band director and plays keyboards in Zozo Afrobeat, a 13-piece ensemble based in NYC.
A graduate of Wesleyan University, Ahl has produced and engineered two #1 world albums "Vieux Farka Toure" and "ASAP: the Afrobeat Sudan Aid Project," the later raising over $140k for Oxfam efforts in Darfur.
Ahl currently working with pop sensation Bernie Journey, vocalist Tiffany Challe, indie-visionary Tenderghost, MC Brikmason, folk singer/songwriter Ken Feldman, and producers Moriddum and Joao Mutante. Ahl is hard at work on his next album, "Instrumentahl."
